The Least Common Multiple (LCM) of two integers \(a\) and \(b\) is the smallest positive integer that is divisible by both \(a\) and \(b\). It's a fundamental concept in number theory with applications in various mathematical and real-world problems.
Formula for LCM
The LCM of two numbers \(a\) and \(b\) can be calculated using the formula:
$$LCM(a, b) = \frac{|a \cdot b|}{GCD(a, b)}$$
Where \(GCD(a, b)\) is the Greatest Common Divisor of \(a\) and \(b\).
